This beautiful Assyrian family comes from Tel Tamer in the Western al-Hasakah Governorate in Syria.

They fled their hometown when ISIS attacked several years ago and sought refuge in Lebanon. On the 31st of May 2015, they were able to come to Australia as refugees on a visa subclass 200 which gives them the right to stay indefinitely in Australia.

Family members comprise of parents Samir Kambr and Randa Alkhori and their three young children Sharl 13, Shnil 8 and Shanila.

Currently renting a townhouse in Fairfield, Sydney, they are unfortunately experiencing severe financial hardship.

Understandably this stressful situation has affected the children’s emotional state and their father has physical ailments.

Mum and Dad do not speak English, fortunately, they are enrolled in English courses; as non-English speaking migrants are required to do.

The family needs immediate financial help to get them back on their feet.
