We LOVE to perform at events and we’re kind of obsessed with working out crazy new stuff to try in the air so that we can keep giving our community fresh and exciting experiences. We’re also bit partial to nerving out over the human body, so that we know how to keep you safe and help you become pretty good at doing some really cool and creative things with yours.
Lara Nakhle, is a New Zealand born Lebanese who has lived in Sydney almost all her life. She is now 19 years old and currently studying a Bachelor of Arts Psychology at Macquarie University.
Unlike everyone one else, Lara was born blind but she has not let this get in the way of achieving her hopes and dreams.
From a young age, Lara’s interest in music was evident, everything had a song to go with it and when there wasn’t one, she’d make one up. Discovering she had Perfect Pitch at age 6, it was clear that her love for music was more than just a childhood pastime. She wanted to learn to play the piano but that was not enough, she wanted to sing also and then she wanted to do both at the same time.
Lara worked very hard to obtain her grades for both Singing and Piano completing all 8 of them.
At times it was trying but she persevered and achieved this goal, with distinction.
Apart from also achieving great academic results in her HSC which allowed her entry into the preferred university she wanted to go to and the course she wanted to do, she continued to perform at most school events as well as other functions for city councils and various other charity events.
Having visited Lebanon, her country of heritage, twice in her late teens, she has gained an appreciation for Lebanese music and the language, which she would like to develop further.
Most recently, she featured in the TV reality Show The Voice where she went to see if she can turn a chair, and that she did – two of them in fact which secured her a place on Team Seal.
Lara’s love for music has gone from strength to strength and the future holds promising prospects for her to continue and inspire people young and old alike.
